To start this brainstorm blog, I selected the above two images to remind me of certain styles that I would like to shoot for in my base images. The first one is from a death grips music from a series they did for their album "government plates". The videos mostly featured very minimal, cryptic 3d models that would be showcased in various settings. I like the emptiness and edginess that is portrayed through some of the more frightening 3d models as well as the absurd processes that some of the objects go through, like a grenade exploding a shopping cart in their video for a song called "this is violence now". The second image is an EP cover for a band called fullbody2. I like this cover a lot because it reminds me of the vaporwave trend that was prominent on the internet circa 2014-2017 but a lot less juvenile. I also like the inclusion of the esoteric sphere and odd shapes in the background. Everything about it is dreamlike and mysterious.

I want to create more images through ai that will get me somewhere closer to these two things above. I had a lot of fun just generating stuff at random, but I never got to experiment too deeply with nightcafe's styles or found how to select the "right" words to get an image I truly loved. For the final curation, I want to really go deep with generating a new list of words and hand selecting them to get some hopefully very odd and incomprehensible images.

As for the glitch processes I want to use, I really enjoyed doing all of them and believe that I will probably incorporate most of them on each individual image if possible. I think my process will probably start with generating the image and if necessary using the generative fill feature on photoshop to get more of a random composition. Then I will either use the audacity glitching or the hex edit to really get a lot of the distortion in. After that, I will take those images and manipulate them via the text edit, and then finally reimport them back into photoshop to make some potential artificial glitches in new spots or glitch already glitched spots more.
